Germany Peanuts (2014 Animated Series)

KSM will release the latest iteration of Peanuts (2014) on 5 December 2016. This is an animated series produced in France, and it consists of 104 7-minute shorts. The series was created by Normaal Animation Studios, and the show has its own bilingual French/English site here, with several bilingual sample clips.

The 2016 release date is also being reported by German sites, and if this release date holds, then one wonders why an announcement (let alone a pre-order) was put up so soon.

At the present time, there is no further information available that I can find, so it is unknown, and probably unlikely, that this release will have anything other than German and/or French audio.

But, at least we know an English-friendly release could happen.

I saw that earlier at amazon.de, and was wondering what was included. I don't think I'm familiar with those shorts

here's a link to it; http://www.amazon.de/Peanuts-Serie-H...ywords=peanuts

Would love to get this, but will be hoping/waiting for a significant price drop.

Bad news, I emailed KSM and they confirmed the English version won't be included:

Dear Travis,
unfortunately we won’t release this series with english dub, because we don’t have the license for english-speaking countries.

Kind regards,

Really disappointing, as I would really like to see the English version of the series, and we rarely get any cartoon series released on Blu-Ray.

Looks like KSM realized the English dub would really add to sales, as they have picked up the rights, judging by details for Volume 1:

Peanuts Vol. 1 (Blu-ray)
Peanuts Vol. 1 (DVD)

EDIT: Nevermind, I found recent clips of the English dub.

Anyone bought the individual volumes of these? I'm eager for some reviews and photos.

A few quick photos of the packaging of the first three volumes:

The cover art is reversible, so you can avoid the ratings logos.

Thanks for that. They look pretty nice. I'll probably hold off for now, based on what you said about on-text appearing in another language.

Warner Bros. announced they are releasing the new Peanuts (2014) series on DVD, according to TVShowsOnDVD.com. I doubt we will see Blu-ray releases in future, considering it is from Warner Bros., who have barely released any Peanuts specials on Blu-ray so far.

Sounds like a much better option, as it offers more episodes (32), and the video will be completely in English (with English subtitles I expect too). I just hope Warner Bros. end up releasing the complete series on DVD.

Yeah, I just noticed this too.

I'll probably get this version, but part of me is disappointed that it's not on Blu-ray.

No chance of English video been added for the upcoming box set, in case anyone else was wondering:

Hi Travis,

unfortunately we are not allowed to publish the product with full English content, because we only have the license to publish it in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Kind regards,

'Peanuts by Schulz: Go Team Go!' is the second DVD volume of the series, with another 19 episodes. Which still leaves another 52 episodes to go.

Only German video is offered on the Blu-ray releases in Germany, but you can switch between English and Germany audio at any time.

So just a heads up to everyone here, you can see the English versions of all these in HD on Cartoon Networks on demand service. I too am hoping for a full release of this on Bluray or DVD. Lets hope...

They run them on Boomerang normally, not even HD on Directv unfortunately...

It is shocking how much Warner Bros. tried to cash in on the series, and ruined any chance of even a decent DVD release:
V1 - 32 new episodes
V2 - 19 new episodes
V3 - 29 new episodes
V4 - 10 new episodes
V5 - 3 new episodes
V6 - 6 new episodes
V7 - 4 new episodes

And there is still one episode missing....

I ended up ordering the complete series from Germany, the European English dub really isn't that bad.
