Default Final Fantasy XII on PS3

Hi, i just started playing FFXII on my PS3 and it isn't what i expected it would be. The graphics are really horrible compared to the ps2 :s, its very "blocky"

Im using a 60gig PS3, DVD upscaler is on.

It could be my TV tho, im using a sony bravia KDL-40u2000.

Is something wrong with my settings? Or is it just my TV thats to old?

FFXII should run without any problems at all while you are connected via HDMI in upscaled mode, however, once you get used to HD games, PS2 content on HD TV's usually won't look as good as they do on CRT

Running FFXII on my TV and it looks fine.
You must not have smoothing on. Remember DVD upscaling does not apply to games. You have to set it differently.
You should also make sure the game is set to widescreen or it will stretch out the image. Turn on smoothing as well.
Just play with the setting while you have the game on (use the PS button) and the game settings as well and see what works best for you.

Settings > Game Settings > PS/PS2 Upscaler : Full Screen

(set the game to widescreen in FFXII's options)

Settings > Game Settings > PS/PS2 Smoothing : On

^^^^^^
What he said, i should have personally read through your post & told you what shin did, DVD upscaling doesn't apply to the games, they have their own individual upscaling settings section

Make sure you're using the latest System Software (2.01) too.

Settings > System Settings > System Information

Default Great experience

I was personally very pleased with visuals of FFX2 on PS3...

It's not PS3 quality but it was a lot of fun...

Watch out for the last boss...pretty tricky...

Great game...tad on the short side at about 25-30 hours or so to complete.
