Brilliant! I haven't left a movie theater feeling this invigorated in a long time... even after a 10 day, 55 films viewed festival! If you can see it in a theater, go! It's amazing. Day One for me.

Agreed! It's not often I post here about movies in general, but I do like to draw attention to films that aren't blockbusters or that won't receive much attention. This was a terrific flick: uplifting, inspirational, and often hilarious. Some fine acting and some very good songs -- I'd love to pick up the soundtrack!

Reminded me at times of The Commitments or Once, both of which I loved. Highly recommend this movie, and will definitely pick up this Blu-ray at some point.

And updated artwork. Looks like there will be a "Making Of", a feature on the original music and audition tapes. Nice! Hoping for some deleted scenes, too.

Just dropped to $17.99 on Amazon. Very excited for this. Been looking forward to it since the trailer. Never came out near me.

Excited for you! I saw it FIVE TIMES in theaters. It's now an all-time favorite!

Seeing as Once is in my top 10 of all time favorites and Begin Again was wonderful, I'm super excited.

I was offered a free copy of this Blu-ray to review the film and I surprisingly enjoyed it so much! Great to have smaller films in my collection. This was a pleasant find for me.

Walked into this film completely Blind and it was one of the more enjoyable experiences at the theater this year!

The DVD has a really nice embossed slipcover with additional photos of the parents and the entire band on the back

Is this a trend for Anchor Bay? I remember the Scream 4 DVD had a fantastic slipcover and the Blu-ray had jack. What gives? Isn't the trend doing toward Blu-rays/Digital still? I assumed so since most DVD releases I see these days are single disc, bare bones releases with little to no special features.

Yes, they tend to give DVDs slips, but not their blu ray counterparts.
