I'm enough of a sucker that I'll probably pay full price for it, unless a UK label announces it in the meantime. Hopefully, Fox has done a new scan.

I didn't think this was ever going to get a U.S. release. Hoping for a commentary with Redman and Kirgo and if they include a guest. This release deserves one.

Please let it be a new HD scan. perfect spring time release.

One of the few Audrey hepburn movies I don't care for. Found it to be quite a bore.

Agreed. It sounds like a fun caper movie, but it's cloying and overproduced.

Good stuff. The Czech release suffered from some serious compression issues.

Disagree. Hepburn and O'Toole have such great chemistry that I could watch them banter in that little utility closet for hours.

There is a Spanish release, which I've had for ages. Not watched it yet. Haha sorry.

I like this movie a lot too. Wonder if they'll port over the DVD special features: a commentary by Eli Wallach and Catherine Wyler (the director's daughter), and A&E'S Biography episode on Audrey Hepburn.

You guys are not totally wrong but I gotta say this movie kind of won me by the time it got to the final reel. Hepburn is so charming that it's almost impossible to resist. It's fluff, yes. But the kind of fluff they just don't make anymore with this kind of star power.

Might have to get this even though it's on Netflix. Two of my favorites in a really fun movie, and I don't wanna regret missing out if/when this sells out.

And I don't mind the cover art. Not what I would've chosen personally, but it's OK. It's just a cover, after all.

I hope the PQ is a big improvement on the current HDX streaming version, which is pretty lackluster.

Does TT usually deliver in this area?

Not loving the cover art it looks as bland as the old FOX DVD cover. Wished they could have used the original poster artwork or a variation like the CD soundtrack. It may have cost more to use it... but image quality is most important and have to buy this one I prefer this Hepburn to the much more revered Two For the Road.

Depends on the master they were provided. The recent Fox and Sony titles (that appeared to be from new 4k masters, including HTSAM) look amazing from what I saw. However, some of the early TT titles from Fox that used old masters made for the DVD releases (Titus, Demetrius and the Gladiators) look really bad even on the compression front. A lot of the MGM/UA titles use MGM's own dated masters that were made for SE DVD releases and HDTV, so while most of them shouldn't look as bad as Titus, they have their own inherent issues and compression isn't too great on a few.
