Default My Dad bought Guitar Hero III

Yep, my Dad (who is 61) bought Guitar Hero III for the PS2! I was visiting my parents for Christmas and took my little PS2 with me to keep me entertained when I had nothing to do (notched up 70+ hours on Final Fantasy XII), when one day my Dad says he wants to get Guitar Hero III, yeah yeah I thought, then one day I mentioned Blockbusters might have it jokingly. Next thing he goes in and buys it! This is not as a present but for himself Thing is he doesn't have a PS2, but luckily I have both a fat and a thin PS2 so I've given him the fat one. I guess this proves that you're never too old to get into gaming

Having never played any of these games before I thought I'd check it out, and unlocked some songs for my Dad to practice with while I was at it. It was enjoyable but I found it way too hard on the most difficult setting, I was all over the place and barely hit the right notes.

Yah, Guitar Hero takes some practice. I got Guitar Hero 2, 3 and Rock Band all on the same day. I am using Guitar Hero 3 tho and slowly getting better. Ive unlocked 21 of the 42 songs in the main game on normal difficulty. Ive never played a guitar game before getting these.

The Gutiar Hero games are addictive. Once you beat it on easy you want to go back and keep getting better.

hahah that episode is a slap in the face to everyone who plays. I play A LOT of guitar hero. I think myself as pretty decent. I beat GH on expert, GH2 I can't beat the Megadeath song on expert , GH3 I can't beat the devil on hard , and i'm working on rock band on expert, there's a couple songs on the last phase that are giving me some trouble. the drums though, forget about it, I can't even beat it on medium.

Thas was a hilarious episode.
Guitar Hero Game to Stan & Kyle: "You have played guitar hero enough to reach 1,000,000 points ...Congratulations! You are Fags!"

Im afraid thats gonna happen to me one day when i play it. I cant wait to get Rock Band and play the hell out of the drums.

His dad is cool but its common knowledge now that playing video games helps keep an older mind active.

The WII is being used in retirement homes for physical therapy. It gets them older folks up and moving some with the sports games.

I just wish my 60+ yo old parents could figure out their simple to use DTV DVR remote control. I swear, 2 years later and they still ask me how to do the same stuff over and over again.
