3 should have been thrown under the bus in script form ---- but oh well... water under the bridge at this point.

YES!!!

I hated both ASM movies but absolutely loved the Raimi trilogy, the first movie is one of the best comic adaptions ever IMHO. I saw parts of it in UHD and it looked real good, I imagine it will be even better on UHD disc. I trust Sony is going to make the best of this...

If there's a trilogy pack I'll get that, and when it's on sale. I'm OK with the BDs for now, but I can't wait to see what HDR looks like on these. Mmm those colors...

These are some of my favorite movies. I love them. They're ten times better than 99% of other superhero movies IMO. That said, the Mi4k BD discs are pretty stunning so I'll wait for reviews and a US release of these.

The Mi4K discs are wonderful but I will still be getting these just about as soon as I can manage. As said above, it's been far too ****ing long since there's actually been a decent Spidey flick so seeing these in UHD will be a treat.

Loved ASM1 and 2. Raimi's movies are decent too, and I look forward to picking them up. I just have the original trilogy box from 2007, so these should be a heck of an upgrade. Now I just need ASM1 as well.

Do the Mi4K discs differ much from the earlier BD releases? I have all three but I never got around upgrading them with the Mi4K ones. Oh well, once the UHD drop I probably won't need to anyway.

I think 1 & 2 are lovely upgrades, 3 is a bit of a wash. I hope there's a trilogy set so I can just get all three in one box.

Oh, and the Spidey 2 UHD will likely be the theatrical cut, so let the b*tching about the lack of 2.1 commence! Eh.

I'm hoping for a boxset with al three movies too. Can't wait to see the first one!

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't that 2.1 had (in part) something to do with a headbutt that got cut out of all European releases because of the BBFC's guidelines? I just hope they will put that back in as it's supposed to.

As usual, theatrical's better anyway. Not that 2.1 was a disaster, but other than some extra bits in the train fight I can't remember anything significant it added.

With Sony's participation in Spider-Man: Homecoming, hopefully it, like The Amazing Spider-Man 2, will get a full 4k finish with 4k VFX rendering.

That, I will buy on UHD!*

*Unless, somehow, it ends up being a bad movie

Just stop and think for a moment, the last time we had a really phenomenal Spidey movie was 2004... yeesh. The new one better deliver the goods.

Yeah, I never even watched ASM2, I so disliked ASM.

This, though, is a crown jewel for the MCU that Marvel knows they have to get right for so many reasons. I trust Feige to pull it off. The MCU Spider-Man content to date (in Captain America: Civil War) has been note-perfect for me.
