There is no official statement until there is an official statement.

It's all speculation, both this and the FT article, but we all know where this is headed :-)

I'm skeptical an announcement is coming today but of course a PR lackey is going to deny everything when asked by reporters until the minute the press release is sent out.

I think Paramount will stay with HD DVD until the end of 2008 just out of stubborness. They already switched to HD DVD exsclusivity even though they admit that they're Blu ray's outsold the HD's on a consistent basis so why make a smart decision now?

I'm sorry to say that I don't understand this Dennis Miller reference. (Never heard of him.) I did google Dennis Miller, but still don't get it. Perhaps I'm not Americanized enough yet to understand
