Sunshine - Availability Issues?

Hey everyone - just got back in from work and my first stop this morning was Best Buy. I was there right at opening to quickly snatch up the following:

3:10 To Yuma
Con Air
The Rock
Sunshine

I could not find them on the shelf so I check their "cart" that was loaded up in the isle. Found them there. However, there was only ONE copy of Sunshine and only a couple copies of each of the other movies. My question - is Sunshine availability limited? Anyone having issues getting it?

I ask because the store I went to had only one copy. Another store I called also only had one copy. I searched Best Buy online and they are showing all 6 stores near me as UNAVAILABLE.

All 4 of those movies are available at all locations near me.

yeah i was planning on getting it after work...and checked best buys site...all unavailable...but you know that unavailable means 0 or 1 in store copies - because they give the last copy to in store shoppers....so it could still be there..but theres definitely not many out there

What's that mean, they give the last copy to in store shoppers?

(Wondering, because when Planet Terror (DVD) came out in the exclusive BB tin, I just happened to walk in still fairly early, but none were on the shelf (supposedly there were some when the store had opened), but one of the employees when I asked about it apparently handed me the last copy that he just happened to be carrying around. (Which certainly made my day.)

(There were several Death Proof tins a few weeks prior, but apparently their limited quantities inspired some early shoppers to get some ebay fodder, I imagine. )

I look online at Best Buy and it said the same thing for me, all of them show Unavailable. Said thing is it doesn't say Limited Availability for in-store Pick-up like Resident Evil 1. I called the closest Bestbuy and they said they don't have it, but I could order from there website. I replied sure, but I can't use my $20 off Blu-ray Coupon when I buy 3.

Second week Best buy didn't have 3 Blu-ray movies in stock that I really want. Only 2

i went to best buy about 30 minutes after opening for 3:10 to Yuma and Sunshine they had quite a few copies of Yuma but only one copy of Sunshine i almost didnt see it it was on the back end of their like big new release stand they had set up and it was mixed in with something else.

I was at bestbuy an hour after opening and they had a bunch of Yuma and Dragon Wars. They had one Sunshine, two Con Air, one The Rock, and no stores in northern New Jersey got Man on Fire.

Amazon shipped mine yesterday.

Saw plenty of copies today of 310 and sunshine at walmart (24.96 and 29.96 respectively).

There was only one copy of Sunshine on the shelf at my BB when I picked it up Sunday, but I thought maybe it was because someone accidentally put it out early.

My Wal-Mart had 2 copies of Yuma, none of either The Rock or Con Air and 9 copies of Sunshine, which I thought was strange.

They said they would be getting The Rock and Con Air in a few days.

At my BB this morning at 11am they had :

1 copy of Sunshine
2 copies of Con Air
2 copies of The Rock
2 copies of Dragon Wars
0 copies of Man On Fire (A Fox catalog title, no surprise there)
About 12 copies of 3:10 To Yuma

With Blu starting to take off, and all of the players given as gifts for the holidays, the stores have to get their act together and carry more Blu product.

they probably sold them already as they it sounds like they are breaking street dates regurally

Not these BB's. They are very anal about not putting stuff out EARLY. Trust me on that one

I was looking for Man On Fire in BB and they did not have it. Another customer walked buy and asked had I seen Sunshine on the shelf, I said I'm in here enough I know where to look, and damn it there was only one copy, so I let him have it since he called it first.... Aw shucks... CC here sucks...

Picked up last copy of in Philly for real! I called every place (CC, BB,Target, walmart and FYE and they did not have a copy until I came in fye store at other mall, hoping to see sunshine on BD. I was in luck, they had last copy. Fye have sale going on and I brought it for 29.99. I did not see shooter there as well.

The new Wal-Mart in Lawton, Ok, had about 8-9 copies yesterday. In fact I bought Sunshine and took it home only to find out it will not play on a Samsung 1200 (I neglected to check out the 1200 thread here). I was able to trade somebody at work who has a Sharp Blu-Ray player and I got Shoot'Em Up instead. Who knows when & IF Samsung will ever issue a Firmware upgrade that will enable me to play Sunshine. Now Con-Air and The Rock were in short supply.

I bought from Amazon but they were sold out, said they wouldnt have in stock till 2/05/08 but luckily guess they got some today. Mine shipped out this afternoon, i should receive it tuesday.
