Anyone beaten the Mass Effect Xbox game? - Blu-ray Forum

yes i know this isnt a game website and i know this is a 360 game, but did anyone beat this and how long did it take you? im renting it right now and if it will take me more then 10hrs to beat im gonna buy it. please only respond if you have beaten this game or atleast got to the final stage.

i beat it and took me about 32 hrs with quite a few side quests.

meh. rented it. the graphics sucked... hard. wasnt a big fan of the gameplay either. OR the audio. Actually, the audio and graphics just sucked. Thankfully i rented it at a third party video store that if you dont like a game - or you beat a game within the 1 week rental time you can just do a "Game Swap".

Swapped it for SSX on the wii... Then realised that it was worse then mass effect so i swapped it for uncharted.

I loved Uncharted... i mean, i beat it in that weeks rental, but i still bought it. Damn good game

Oh... and why the hell is this in general? why isnt it in the games section? why is it even on blu-ray.com? not to be rude of anything. xD

they shouldn't have called it a RPG when it's a shooter with a good story!!!

I do no recall the total amount of hours it took me,
but it was definitely more than 10hrs.

I guess if you try and zoom through it,
without any side quests you might make it under 10hrs.

But there's no fun in that.

RPG is so loosely used now a day. I mean all games are RPG's . You all play a Role in them. BioWare software are very good. I mean normally i can't stand those games, JRPG being the worst IMHO because they are On Rail and turn based with i found completly ridiculous

Man, if this isn't even related to Blu-ray at all, why even bother posting it in the General Discussion forum?

At least have the decency to post it in the PS3 and Games or the Off-Topic forum.

Playing the Main Quest should take you about 10 to 20 hrs. if you decided to play the Side quest to, it could take you 20 to 40+ hrs. Took me about 46hrs to complete the game with most of the side quest.

I recommend renting it if you're not sure if you're going to like it, it's not a game for everyone.

I played it for a bit but lost interest somewhere on a Ice planet chasing down some chics mom. Not interested in going back for me really.

Depends on how much you're into Mars Rover Extreme mode.

My run ran about ~30 hours with sidequest checks.

And as a sidenote, in the game options, you can turn off the artifical grain and the mediocre motion blur.

The grain bugged me with ME alot because well, it was [imo] procedurally done badly. The motion blur didn't bug me too much, it ain't Crysis, but well, it ain't Crysis.

I've been dreading the very thought of this sidequest. I finally tackled it today. Funny enough, I beat it without even trying. First I secured some other items on the map before tackling the sidequest proper. Once I was headed towards the base to tackle the sidequest, I noticed a flashing beakon atop an antenna. If you just do the main story, know where everything is, and are on the easiest difficulty you can beat it in about 4hrs. But you are playing it for the first time, don't know where anything is, and probably want to explore and see what the game has to offer so it will probably take you more than 10hrs.
