Most Played Game

Now that PS5 finally gives us a system wide time tracker for our games I was curious what everyone’s most played game or games was? Any surprises for anyone?

I was shocked that Arkham Knight is my longest time spent on a single Playstation game at 157 hours. If it displayed back to PS3 it would easily be Uncharted 2 or 3 with the hundreds of hours I played online.

First off,

PSN tracks the time since the application/game is open till it is closed.
It doesn’t take into account loading, menus etc etc etc.


2015 Battlefront

5,882 hours. (in-game tracker from EA shows 4,200+ hours)

2017 Battlefront II

5,396 hours.

Only surprise I guess is Witcher 3 at 555 hours. Thought I put more into that.

How many times have you played it, out of curiosity? I keep hearing people saying they've clocked similar hours and not completed it but I've done absolutely everything in the base game and DLCs and have only clocked 220 hours.

My most played game was Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fuelled at 541 hours. I played that pretty much every day for 9 months so not that surprising.

Was interested to see I had put over 120 hours into MGSV. It's a game I've picked up for about a week every year since release. Have clearly played a lot but still only at 60% completion.

Was surprised I had already put 42 hours into Crash 4 since release.

I was also surprised at how much time I spent completing some games that I didn't even enjoy that much

I probably spent around 400 hours of actual gameplay. Main game + all DLC. Exploring every part of every map. Finished the game once & started a new game plus. Spent around 30 hours in plus before moving on.

The rest is loading times, menus, keeping the game idle during breaks, possibly Rest Mode. I know that feature came out that year.

So yeah it’s not the most accurate info counter. You can have a game in Rest Mode for days & that would count towards your hours played.

My Top 5:

1) The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (624 hours)
2) Bloodborne (280 hours)
3) The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (267 hours)
4) Diablo 3 (248 hours)
5) Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin (157 hours)

And I've put even more hours into some of those games on other systems. Wasn't really surprised to see those games as my top 5, and I knew Binding of Isaac would be on top. Getting the platinum in that game was probably the most difficult gaming "accomplishment" I've ever managed to complete.

I'll have to check later, but my PS5 is refusing to open the PS button listing due to major lag after putting it into rest mode for Watch Dogs Legion PS5. I'll press the PS5 button the controller, and I'll hear the hum, then nothing happens. If it does happen, it doesn't bring up the list I'm looking for, but thankfully brings up the power button list on the very bottom when it works.

I still have my external HDD attached, thinking the latest Sony PS5 update might have solved the issue of lag, but no.

Next time I power off I'll check.

Don’t put the System into Rest Mode while any game is running.
Don’t remove your USB drive until you safely remove it in options, storage menu.

Bloodborne - 307 hours
Arkham Knight - 272 hours
Uncharted 4 - 199 hours
The Witcher 3 - 192 hours
Street Fighter V - 190 hours

not sure how accurate the times are.. but I knew The Division would be #1, that damned Underground DLC

I think the hours are inflated, says I played Infamous Second Son for 117 hours lol

Total Hours played 1,745

Add Destiny 2 to that and it's a grand total of 1,889hrs played.

Works out to 78 non stop days of play.
