'LET HIM GO' - Intense thriller with DIANE LANE and KEVIN COSTNER

Probably February 2021 - to coincide with a Focus Features Awards Campaign - Diane Lane especially got great reviews for her Oscar worthy performance.

Pre-order is open. I hope they have some extras on it.
What are Focus Features like for supplements?

This movie kicked major butt, and I normally can't stand Costner. Diane Lane, on the other hand...

So many people saying that...

Despite the same two actors who play Clark's parents... No... it's not. It is however, a bloody fabulous movie. Very intense and powerful... with an 'edge of the seat' finale. Diane Lane is Oscar worthy and her reviews have been raves.

Shit, this is really a gem. I went in knowing nothing about it and it's a knockout, hugely suspenseful and involving with a masterful sense of pacing. Lane and Costner are electric together & I'm no Costner fan; he makes you believe instantly that he'd follow this woman to the ends of the Earth.

My 2nd favorite film of the year. Once again, been saying this for a decade now, but give me Old Man Kevin Costner any day of the week and twice on Sundays. I love Old Man Costner performances.

Isn't that the truth. He's carved out quite a third act for his career.

Tell me you're watching Yellowstone! If you love Old Man Costner performances in film, and I 100% do as well, and you have not yet seen the tv show Yellowstone, then just know that it has all that Old Man Costner goodness! If you are watching it, then you already know what I'm talking about.

I love Lane. A terrific actress who is still somewhat underrated.

I agree. I can't think of a more 'underrated' actress. So so good in this.

I like 'Let Him Go' cos it has characters that you get to know well and you care what happens to them. I rarely find that in movies nowadays.

What a great film. Moving, beautiful, heartbreaking, intense. And Diane Lane was magnificent. I'd give this a solid 9/10 rating. Maybe higher. My favorite of 2020 (so far).

I agree!

Yes, it's a genuinely terrific film. I think it's a shame so many (here on this forum) and in general are dismissing it as an 'old persons movie'. It is phenomenal film whatever demographic you are from. Great story, characters you really get to know and care about, and terrific performances - all make this the type of quality film you don't really get too often nowadays. Plus, a surely Oscar nominated lead performance by Diane Lane!

Spread the word... more people need to see this very impressive film. So worth the time to watch it and be genuinely moved and reminded of the power of great cinema.

I certainly hope so. But as of today, she is still not mentioned on any of the Oscar prediction websites and articles. Specifically Gold Derby. Which is insane.

I agree, I'm 22 and this was a intense gripping thriller. Slow enough to build up the story properly and develop the characters, but not a slog. And when it gets violent, it gets pretty harsh (it earns that R rating by the climax without getting gratuitous). However character focused thrillers are niche in this day and age now, which sucks, as many good ones are often left in the dust by most.
