Love this one, and even more impressed it'll be on 4K! Thought for sure this would come out on Blu-ray from The Film Detective via their Wade Williams deal. Looking forward to finally upgrading that Image DVD!

They just reissued it as a steelbook, with a DNR’d upscale of the 1953 film as an “extra”.

I saw that and was tempted but unless the transfer on the 80’s remake is new, I’ll be sticking with what I already have and will be putting all my hope into this release.

I still can’t believe this is happening. I wonder what gives this far down the line?

Never thought I'd see the day and Day 1 no question. All I'm going to say is .... if someone is yanking our collective chains, someone is going to get hurt.

This has been a favorite of mine since I was a young whipper-snapper back in the 70's. The ending is what really put it over the top for me back then. Scratch one more film from my Wish-list.

This has been back in theaters recently with a 4K DCP I believe, was hoping that meant a 4K disc was possible. Very terrific news!

This is without a doubt the biggest news of the year for catalog titles. It has been a long and very convoluted journey to get here and is a major victory for film preservation.

My image Laserdisc can now finally be retired.

Speaking of... there were hints a while back that the Ed Wood films might be coming around as well... At any rate I'm BEYOND excited for this. I didn't grow up in the 50's so it's not terrifying to me in the way that it is to the 'Boy's Life' crowd, but it and all the seams that show now are so completely charming that I just love it.

Yeah, born in 2002 but grew up with a love of 50's Sci-Fi as well. Hope this opens the door for The Crawling Eye as well.

With this release (which I will preorder the day its available for it) it only leaves one 50s sci-fi movie I want to see a release of - I Married a Monster from Outer Space , which got a release in Oz, but is now OOP and expensive.

I have to admit, I am very surprised Invaders from Mars is getting a 4k release. I would have settled for a bare bones re-release of the OOP blu, but hey, I am happy.

Didn't know about the regular release of I Married a Monster from Outer Space, sadly the Sorry Wrong Number release is very poor quality so I am hoping someone else picks it up for a better scan.
