I get a free medium popcorn (upgradeable to a refillable extra-large for a nominal charge) with the $30 annual cost of Harkins Theatres popcorn perks, and loyalty cup refills only cost $2. NO DEAL, HOWIE!

Just checked, and ALL premium screens for Jaws and Spider-Man: NWH (extended cut) appear to indeed be $3 and change that day only.

IMAX, 3D, Dolby, Screen X, 4DX, XD, RPX, etc.

Major chains, including AMC and Regal Cinemas, are participating, as are all major film studios. In participating theaters, tickets will be no more than $3 for every showing, in every format.

No word on Cinemark and I don't see any news at their website yet...

I also see they put a clause in there, saying:

Join the celebration at Regal, the best place to watch a movie.
National Cinema Day ticket pricing does not include tax or convenience fees.

When do they ever charge tax on a movie ticket that's not already included? Convenience fees. That's a new one. Regal at the ticket box office, "Well, for the convenience of using our theaters today, we have to charge an extra $3 per ticket."

Agreed 100%.

That's the list for my location. A theater about 40 miles away has the same list plus The Blob. I figure larger cities must have a larger selection.

Our other local spot (B&B) has the 3rd completely greyed out on the booking page.
