Default Batman: Gotham Knight animé Blu-ray first look

Just watched this clip and wanted to pass it on for others to see. Pretty cool "First Look" of six animation stories, in Animatrix style, that fill in the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. It is only listed for DVD release this summer so hopefully Warner will release it on Blu as well.

http://www.superherohype.com/news/topnews.php?id=6798

Enjoy!

Default Batman: Gotham Knight Blu-ray!

Now that this has been officially announced, I thought that I would add a link to a clip of the movie! This is a first look clip:

http://www.superherohype.com/news/topnews.php?id=6798

I originally posted this a few weeks ago:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...=gotham+knight

The clip shows some cool stuff! A must have if you are a Batman and Anime fan!

Enjoy!

I was surprised that no one had added a new thread (outside of the news announcement) on this. Pretty cool clip though!

this reminds me of the animatrix only cooler since it has batman, and also, i hear that anthony michael hall will be playing dead shot in the movie, who also plays a big part in the gotham knight release....

Nice, I heard about Hall, and a week or two the first tidbit on his character, but I never put 2 and 2 together to see that he may be Deadshot. That would be SO awesome.

TVShowsOnDVD.com has posted the rear cover art for the Blu-ray version of "Gotham Knight" and sadly... NO LOSSLESS!!

Since DVDActive.com posted rear cover art for "The Perfect Storm with only Dolby Digital EX soundtrack listed (and Bill Hunt later confirmed Dolby TrueHD), maybe this is a mistake as well... but I felt I should mention it.

If it doesn't have lossless, I'll wait and see if the Japanese release does.

I'm not sure I can support Warner's releases anymore if they keep pulling these stunts. A lossy soundtrack on this release would be inexcusable considering a niche release like this will likely never get double dipped on Blu-ray. I hope it's a mistake on the packaging.

Trust me, I know Bruce Wayne and he hates lossy soundtracks. He is a billionaire after all...

Any way to contact Warner and voice our displeasure at the lack of lossless track on the artwork, to make certain the final pressing has one there?

You know, normally I'm the type of guy who would say "Do we really NEED lossless audio for a cartoon" but honestly...what the heck is the point in having all the infinite cosmic power that Blu Ray wields if the studios aren't going to use it.

It's like saying "okay...we have the ultimate land, sea, and air vehicle; now let's use it to block traffic."

Huh??

They could have had a really cool sleeper here and I'm sure it'll be good anyway, but still...

IMHO is even more impressive in a cartoon because the sound placement is very active because it was not real in the first place. Disney 2D animated title are really good at that.
