Default Batman: Gotham Knight

I know a lot of people are really excited now that Batman Begins has been officially announced and probably have it pre ordered but I just ran across this movie on Amazon...and I wanted to see if others have heard about it.

If so what are you opinions. I miss the good days of awesome Batman animation. The cartoons and such. Before the WB ruined it. I think Batman Beyond was alright. After that it sucked horrible. Especially when decided to make him look retarded.

Anyways this new film looks okay. The cover art looks fantastic and I'm wondering if anyone has come across a trailer for the film...

One of my fav movies now...they did an excellent job of keeping batman grounded a super hero without super powers...

I never saw the new series: The Batman, but I liked the older Batman cartoon series and animated movies

Batman Beyond was pretty good, a different twist, good in it's own right, my favorite though is TAS and Mask of Phantasm.

Looking forward to this movie, it will be a definite blind buy.

Personally Im waiting for a (Buy 1 get 1) or (Buy 2 get 1) for this and New Frontier. I mean I really want both but they are a little pricey for catoons. But I expect them both to be very well done and a lot of people are pretty ciked for Batman: Gotham Knight .

It was between the Standalone Batman Begins + Batman: Gotham Knight

or Deluxe Edition Batman Begins - I went with the Deluxe Sick packaging edition of Batman Begins.

I will not be buying this if Warner does not include a lossless soundtrack. Some information has come out that this Blu-ray will only have a Dolby Digital soundtrack. I hope that information is wrong but Warner has done things like this before.

Well I was watching the trailer and to be honest the art style/direction they're taking doesn't really appeal to me. I much prefer the old school cartoon look.

Anime just doesn't look good on Batman in my eyes...

Shame though I was hoping I'd like it visually.

I've been a pretty big Batman fan since I was very young. I have alot of the comics, some action figures, all the DVDs (animated & live action), and some other odds & ends.

So basically what I am trying to say is, I am the target audience for Gotham Knights. And to be honest, the trailers and previews I have seen for this have all looked pretty terrible to me. I hope I am wrong, but I am going to buy Batman Begins and just rent this one for now.

As long as the story is done well, I'm open to a new animation style - especially one that doesn't make Batman look like a wimp. Since they are taking the animation style in a different way, it will be a fresh look and I'm willing to give it a shot without any prejudgment.

I have already preordered this. I am a huge Batman Freak. Not sure if I will get the Blu Ray of Begins though. I have it on HD DVD already.
