blu ray movie prices, and players prices going down?

what do you think?

...no not in the near term.....prices are roughly where they were at early on in dvd's life
actually things are cheaper i think.

Look at it this way... in order to compete with SD DVDs, they NEED to drop prices. I expect to see prices drop as early as summer, and again for the holidays.

Dont worry too much about BD player prices. When new profile Gen Players come out, the older ones will be clearanced.

For instance, I bought these at Sears(all gone in Northern VA, thanks to me)
1) Sony BDP-S1 for my GF for $147
2) Samsung BD-P1000 for myself for $111
3) Sony BDP-S1 for myself for $147
4) Sony BDP-S1 for my friend for $142 (who also bought the BD-P1000 from me, since I got an S1)
5) Sony BDP-S1 for my GFs Dad for $130 (110% Price Match)

Circuit City is also clearing out BDP-S1s and Panasonic DMP-10As.
