Default Problem playing blue ray on laptop to view on TV

Hi, I'm relatively new to all this but am hoping someone can help.

Problem: I have just bought a new laptop ~ Sony Vaio VGN-AR51J ~ and want to play my Blue Ray disc's on it's intergrated blue ray combo drive but view them on my LCD TV ~ it's a Sony 40" LCD HD ready, model KDL-40V2000. I am connected through the laptop's HDMI output and the TV's HDMI input.

It works with playing normal DVD's but the Blue-ray Disc's give me this error: "YOUR PLAYING ENVIROMENT DOES NOT SUPPORT PROTECTED CONTACT PLAYBACK"

Any help with sorting this problem out would be appreciated

Many thanks in advance

Make sure you don't have it in dual monitor mode, make the T.V. the only monitor.

A quick press of the function (Fn) key & F7 keys toggle the viewed output from Laptop to HDMI (TV) or both.

Setting this to 'HDMI (TV) only' allows me to view my Blue-ray disc's on my Sony KDL-40v2000 TV in superb HD quality sound and vision and leaves the laptop with a blank screen.

So, from a very happy chappy, many thanks to the replies above!
