HDD doesn't show when saving a file - Blu-ray Forum

Whats the deal with this?

You go to the web browser, select something to save and the HDD doesn't show! Only external memory cards and such.. So what gives? Am I doing something wrong here?

HDD on what? I imagine you mean the PS3, correct?

Edit: (Nevermind, looked at which forum it was in and figured it out...)

Is it only from the web browser, or does it do it for the PlayStation Store as well?

It done it from the browser this time. I recall its done it before though, maybe not from the PSN, but it has done it.

I'm downloading a 1080p movie trailer right now from a website and it would only show the USB drive to save to. Once its done (57% right now) i'm going to try and copy it to the hdd.

If it's not compatible with the PS3 the file will not be allowed to be saved on the PS3's HDD. That's why it forces you to use external media.
