Default Postponed Blu-ray Titles

I was just over at HiDef Digest and I ran across this list of titles that originally had release dates but were postponed for whatever reason. I just wanted to see if other people had heard anything regarding any of the titles below...

1,000 Places to See Before You Die: 50 Favorite Destinations (Image)
50 Paintings from the Museum of Modern Art (Image)
The Amazing World of National Geographic (Image)
The Amityville Horror (1979) (MGM)
Art Wolfe: Vanishing Act (Image)
Bell Witch: The Movie (Big River)
Beyonce: The Beyonce Experience - Live (Sony BMG)
Bug (Lionsgate)
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Sony)
The Da Vinci Code (Sony)

Dances with Wolves (MGM)
Dodgeball (Fox)
Dude, Where's My Car? (MGM)
Glory (Sony)
Godzilla (1998) (Sony)
Hannibal (MGM)
The Hoax (Buena Vista)
IMAX: Dolphins (Image)
IMAX: The Living Sea (Image)
Legends of the Fall (Sony)
Marie Antoinette (Sony)
Meatballs (Sony)
The Princess Bride (MGM)
Red Dawn (MGM)
Ronin (MGM)
Sense and Sensibility (Sony)
The Silence of the Lambs (MGM)
Starship Troopers (Sony)
The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) (MGM)
Tristan & Isolde (Fox)

Turistas (Fox)
Went To Coney Island On A Mission From God... Be Back By Five (Starz)
Winged Migration (Sony)

Personally I'm really excited for the ones in bold. I hope the studios haven't abandoned these movies and that they'll be out soon. What are the changes you think of that happening? Or do you think all these titles have been set aside and forgotten?

that's a pretty sad list of movies (except silence of the lambs & dances w/ wolves). They can postpone those movies as long as they wish

You didn't like The Da Vinci Code?

I agree overall that its not a really strong list that will blow people away but there are some titles there that I'm certainly curious and interested in.

I just wanted to get peoples thoughts on them and whether anyone had heard anything about any of hte movies listed there.

I just bought "Starship Troopers" over at AMAZON UK.
PQ and SQ are amazing on my PS3.

The IMAXes might be interesting, too.
I've already seen "Serengeti", "Alaska" and "Australia".
Picture was nice, but not as "blu-ish" as one might hope...

DaVinci Code was an OK movie. I read the book before the watching the movie, and was let down. The book is amazing (and I only ready about 1 book per year) Had I not read the book first, I probably would have loved the movie.

Needless to say, I will buy it when it comes out anyway. Looking forward to Starship Troopers, Dodgeball, and a few others on that list..

Imagine by now 'The DaVinci Code' is being held back until the sequel (is that still being made)

I've been hearing rumours of a Thomas Crown Affair 2 as well.

Don't know if anything is coming down the pipe to cross-promote the other titles with. Ronin is still planned for that big Father's day push though isn't it? Or has it been delayed again?

No, it's region B. But, Starship Troopers is not region locked thus the reason for it playing on US players. I should be getting my copy of Starship tomorrow. Can't wait to check it out on Blu.

Wow, I'm amazed that a Disney release would be region free

Fox is the main studio behind region coding. Disney has been very lax about doing it, which is definitely a good thing.
