Playstation 3 remote - Blu-ray Forum

It is definitely arriving. I was able to pick one up today from Future Shop (Eglinton and Laird for those in Toronto) for CAD$39.95 (about US$35, rather steep, but what the heck).

Future Shop is a Best Buy type Canadian chain that was bought out by Best Buy a few years ago, but continues to run as a separate group.

I guess I should post my thoughts on it:

- Works like a charm. No line of sight is so cool.

- No learning curve. You'll understand which buttons to push, because it is has the same buttons as the game controller (plus many more).

- It's ergonomic. Rests nicely in the hand. And is nicely balanced.

- Some don't like the look. But, it is classic Sony, and I like it. And seems to be actually of better construction than most remotes from Sony products I've owned.

Kudos to Sony for completing the experience! It's definitely a must have, even if you are proficient now with the game controller. No more accidental forward/reversals.

They should drop the price. $40 Canadian for a remote seems iffy to me.

At EB Games in US, it is $25.

I think it is SRP $29.95 being retailed at EB Games for $25

It's common for CE to go even $x9.95 or $x99 on the SRPs here. So, they do a currency conversion of the US$ SRP, and then boost it to the next one. Always works out poorly for us.

So far, EB Games stores here hadn't made it available.
