4. Support of the dics recorded with Panasonic AVCHD Camcorders

I just updated smoothly, and I can confirm that the skipping operation is much smoother. I loaded up The Descent (which didn't load any faster), and when I started the movie and started skipping through chapters, I noticed it was much faster response time.

Josh
My decompressed file size is 33,237,848 and the size on my disc is 33,239,040. Is that the size that you got? Thanks

On the download site it says the decompressed file should be 21,158,963 ????

That is the executable. Not the decompressed.

Thanks Josh. Just updated mine & it's showing version 1.4 now. Only took about 15 minutes like you said. I would have missed that update. Thanks for posting it.

Can't wait for the advanced audio codec update.

My sentiments exactly... I want to check out some of the Fox titles...

I got new cables for my 8 channel connections at CES and am looking forward to being prepared for the full experience!

Last word was that the audio update would come in April. I just love how Panasonic releases updates to improve the machine, not fix it.

I'm in the middle of updating the firmware on my Panny right now. Now, bring on the advanced audio codecs already! April can't come soon enough.

The BDA don't release broken players though, only quality products, unlike our good friends at the HD DVD forum.

I installed this morning; it took 11 minutes and everything went smoothly.

I've only checked Corpse Bride and didn't see any improvement in the picture quality (of course that movie was already perfect.) Chapter switching does seem a bit quicker; I'll have to check more titles later to see if I notice better picture.
