Default Update Samsung 1200 Firmware with Mac OSX

I tried watching POTC: AWE tonight and realized that I could not play it, but realized it was because of my firmware problem. So I came up here to download the software but I have a Mac, and the 2.3 update is only available for Windows... Any suggestions, besides having them mail me a copy? ughh this is frusturating

If its really a problem, I can upload the firmware image somewhere for you, but it really shouldn't matter that you are on a Mac. As long as you have some kind of software (StuffIt Expander, etc) that can extract a zip file, you'll be fine.

Download the file from Samsung, extract the .zip file (you'll get an .iso image). Then you need to use Toast (or Image Burner or whatever it's called that's included with OSX) to burn the image to a CD. Shouldn't have any problems... they just don't have Mac directions posted.

Having some trouble getting this to work... I downloaded the .zip, but then OSX automatically decompresses it into a resulting .RUF file, which I am clueless on what to do with next. I'm skilled with computers and updating things, ect, don't get me wrong, but I've never seen this type of file before, and neither has my operating system. (I PM'd you too...)

Just a head's up if anyone else happens to be having a similar problem on OSX. I converted the .iso to a .dmg for Mac users and posted it at http://www.mediafire.com/?xmntxyxdlxv . Just use Disc Utility to burn the image to CD, and no Mac program should auto-extract a .dmg file.
