The Pianist (DVD) played on PS3 + Share your PS3 Upscale DVDs Experience - Blu-ray Forum

Out of blue today, I was thinking why the heck there is no The Pianist being mentioned at all about their release on BD (if there ever going to be one)

So, I took out my old DVD collectors edition and then watch it on PS3. I have always been suspicious about PS3 upscaling capabilities, but watching the pianist right NOW, I must say that The Pianist looks quite sharp on PS3 and I was very surprised.

I am not even sure if I want to get a BD version if it is out. (well, I probably would still get it)

So, what DVDs have you guys watched that you thought the PS3 did a great job upscaling it on your TV?

I also watched "Runaway Jury, DVD" on PS3, it didnt turn out as well~ (still good)

"Jet Li's The One" looked pretty good upscaled. Though, Being the greatest movie of all time and all - Its pretty hard for it not too.

First of all The Painist is an extremly powerful movie and I certainly recommend your choice!

If this does come to Blu-ray I will certainly pick up a copy.

I have yet to put a DVD in my PS3, I'm so scared to damage the drive that only NEW Blu-ray movies and Games enter my PS3.

I have heard that the latest Superman looks pretty good upscaled from the PS3.

Do you have your settings to 'Full Screen' or 'Normal' ?
