Default most realistic movie (with at least a little action in it)

Generally in movies with more or less action scenes in it we already know what will happen or at least that the main characters(and especially the main character) are almost sure ,not to say sure not to be injured (or at least killed)

But when it s not a die hard type of movie, i think it is sometime good not to say generally, that some vulnerability to the characters is put in it in order to add some serious feeling of reality let s say.

I decided to create this thread after i had just watched we own the night that i thought would be a typical cop(or thriller) movie, even though it is not a revolutionary film i must admitt it has an original thing, it is realistic in the sense that we can t really tell by advance what s going to happen( if a character will be injured badly or even killed) which adds a really other dimension to movies like this one, the other one i remember which is this way is children of men, since the car pursuit scene where it happens what it happens(don t wana tell too much for those who wuldn t have seen yet!) we really care and wonder what will happen to the main characters.

so if you see some other "realistic" movies just talk about them, thx

I actually agree with this. Alot of action was in it, and it was pretty realistic beyond the back up into the lake and disappear" part. [I dont know how to make it a spoiler tag. Sorry...]

At the sametime, I believe that all movies, no matter how realistic the special effects are, are unrealistic. Unexpected real life happenings do not occur in movies since everything is scripted or planned.

I have not seen Tears of the Sun in a while, are there any recollections that movie.

Although many mixed reviews..... There Will Be Blood, and Juno are two movies you should definitely watch (I'm not a huge Juno fan, but TWBB was my favorite movie of the year) Apocolypto was really good.... I actually had no idea what it was about, and thought it was a "Passion of the Christ" type of deal, and avoided it... but when I saw it, it was GREAT.....

I could do without Dan in Real Life... decent movie... nothing too special. Shooter wasn't my cup of tea, but it was decent.

Good Fellas is a CLASSIC.... WATCH IT NOW!!!!

Red Dawn is a good movie, and I thought "Gone Baby Gone" was over-rated, but then again I really don't care for Casey Affleck's acting.

Good luck man!!!!

I watched this on Friday with my ball and chain...shhhh here she comes...I had to explain to her why being shot with a 9mm at close range wouldn't kill him. This wasn't the first time I had seen it, damn it was a good movie.

People who say SHOOTER is realistic obviously didnt see the extras.. where professional snipers actually said they toned down certain areas of what a good sniper shot at a distance can do.

Ex. When the priest is sniped from far away you saw the bullet go through and blood splatter. If you saw the extras with the real sniper as to what that gun can do at a distance he said in all reality the bullet would have split his head in two and pretty much decapitated him. He said they changed it because the directors deem it a better action shot showing the bullet go through with blood splatter out the back.
