Default your action movie wish lists.

hey,

thought i should start a "your action movie wish lists" thread. what do you think? what would be the awesome action movie you want to see on bluray?

I would like to see the Quentin Tarantino's hit KILL BILL the unrated version. I also would like to see the original Blade on BD(ahh, the possibilites with the open scene in HD PQ, AND LOSSELESS AUDIO), and Stephen Speilberg's/Tom Cruise Minority Report.

What about you guys?

Hmmm.......Platoon, The Die Hard Films, LOTR(I know it's more a fantasy/action film trilogy)--in MPEG-4 AVC video and uncompressed audio, preferably DTS. Mmmm.......the sounds of the battles alone would be tremendous. I wanted to say Apocalypse Now but I believe that is Para*****es. Tombstone, one of the best western/action films I have seen, some older John Wayne and Clint Eastwood films(ie the Alamo and Dirty Harry series). I could go on and on with this one.

Yes, Tombstone and the Man with no name Eastwood spagetti westerns. Also, Saving Private Ryan. Can you imagine the opening sequence of troup deployments on the beach in PCM?! Knock you right out of your chair!

I could go for The Rock, the rest of the James Bonds, The Bournes (come on Universal!!), The Jack Ryans (come on Paramount!!), The Island, the rest of the Rambos, The rest of the Lethal Weapons, True Lies, and Indiana Jones! The list goes on of course...

The mid-90s version of The Shadow. It was a reasonably decent flick but it's drop-dead gorgeous and would absolutely killer in HD.

Collateral is a very good film also which I would definitely buy on Blu. One of Cruise's best movies IMO.

this movie marks the first film in crise's career to be a bad guy. before the film release, i remember talking to my friends how this film might not be great because of tom cruise. i have to hand it to him, he really did pull it off very well.

Absolutely, this and "Eyes wide shut" are probably my definitive favourites among Cruise's movies. But I must say I got very tired of the "desperate actionhero" thing he had going. MI 1 was good, but the last two were not very good (I totaly hated MI3).

Oh, and every single movie with Johnny Depp will be on my "to buy" list. I think he is probably the actor today that I most look up to.

Collateral is more drama than action.

I want:

Leon (not technically an action movie really, but a very favorite of mine!)
Man on Fire
Equilibrium
Boondock Saints
Gladiator (hopefully an EU Columbia/Tri-Star import since DW/U are being lame)
The One (pretty terrible movie, but it was fun)
Last of the Mohicans
Heat
Virtuosity

All have at least a bit of action in them... maybe not in the same vein as T2 or Predator, but I'd still like to see them!
