It also looks like the Criterion DVD's image was incorrectly proportioned!

Thanks for the link, it didn't take much persuading for me to pick this up. I hope Oliver Twist is in the works too.

Want a good laught, check the Baron Munchasen comparison on that site. For the price that Criterion charge on their movies, there's certanly not always reference AT All..

Just watched my Blu-ray of Great Expectations (1946) from ITV. I've never seen it before. Phenomenal film. I absolutely loved it. Beautifully filmed and acted. The PQ was good especially being from 2008. I hope we can get a new restoration transfer and new release soon.
