Default My kid killed the sound

I was at work last night, and my son apparently tried to turn off the receiver (Onkyo 605s) I have no idea what he did, but now I get no sound whatsoever thru my directv HD receiver.. when I play the PS3 everything is fine. I have both the PS3 and the Directv hd receiver hooked up thru HDMI. everything appears to be set up correctly, but I am kind of stumped as to why its giving me such grief, anyone have a suggestion ???

See if you have the secondary speakers playing only enabled for the Cable/Sat mode.

EDIT: Speakers such as A and B

I have the same receiver. You should probably go through the onscreen menu and see if the sound for that got changed. Sounds like he may have fooled with the settings. Hope that helps.

Every once in awhile my kids mess with the settings...they need to make these things child proof or something.

same has happened to me..... can't wait to put this in a room where no kiddies can access it!!!!

I'd recommend looking at the surround mode etc.. that "THAT" particular input (cable/sat) is set to.... that's usually how mine gets all fouled up.

Never had that problem with my son. Sometimes the threat of an ass whooping is enough of a deterrent.

Yea but sometimes they are young enough that they still don't understand what an ass whooping is, LOL
