Default Interview with the Vampire/Poltergeist in October

Warner finally announced them. Poltergeist will be a coffee table book on the 14th of Oct and Vampire will be standard release on the 7th of Oct. No technical specs yet. Poltergeist says it is from a new digital transfer from regenerated picture elements and has a new documentary.

Hopefully Poltergeist, at least, has lossless and BTW, I was fine with the coffee book editions early on but lately I've been wishing they'd go back to standard cases (mostly b/c of a media storage rack change). Anyway, still happy to see both of these announced. Looking forward to them.

I can't wait to have these. It is October not November. That makes sense. October is officially horror month. Now lets get the exorcist.

I hope Poltergeist gets a region free release in the UK, otherwise I guess I will have to relent and just start buying those godawful digi-books, coffee table books...whatever the hell they call 'em. So far I have been able to stand firm because there are so many titles being released. However, recently I bought the phenomenal Blu-ray disc of "John Mayer: Where The Light Is" and the packaging for that disc is like the cardboard used for a box of cereal. It has to be the flimsiest piece of crap packaging I have ever seen. I just may be forced to do a little photoshop work to create a suitable Blu-ray insert for that one.

This is truly a sign that movie studios are listening carefully to consumers needs and wants.

I wonder if this New DOC. is the same NEW one that was on the previous DVD release? It has nothing to do with the film and was a waste.

Hopefully it will contain both trailers for the film ... not crazy about those DigiBook cases but I'll be ok with it as long as I get lossless audio.

Can't wait to see the cover art.

I REALLY hope that the doc on POLTERGEIST will be a like a feature long doc that really goes in depth about the movie to make up for the so far lackluster DVD releases of it so far. That is one horror title that's a MUST.

I'll pass on the digibook. I don't like then so I won't buy them simple as that. I assume that the digibook films will show up with regular cases eventually.
