Didn't the 905 have 2 hdmi out ?
It looks likes the significant step forwards is the ISF calibration facility.

Look at the specs though, and it says it doesn't do 1080i to 1080p processing.
That's the whole point of having Silicon Optix HQV instead of lesser processors.

Some pros and cons on the 906 versus the 905

PRO - 906 will decode 5.1 24/192 TrueHD and dts-Master Audio.
The 905 would only accept 2-channel 24/192 TrueHD and would process all dts-ma 24/192 sources as 24/96

CON - 905 will decode DSD directly to analog without entering the PCM realm, the 906 will not - DSD Direct mode will convert to PCM.
