Rent if you really want to see it, if you like it buy it. Other than the horrid dialog it was a decent movie. But its hard to get passed the dialog lol

I wouldn't do either, don't waste money on a rental or a purchase with this one. This is more like a one time download watch and then cry that you can't have those 2 hours of your life back.

Over $25 is too much for a blind buy, especially with the mixed reviews I've read on this one. Mine is coming from Netflix today

Better yet, read the synopsis on wiki. Takes less than 3 minutes.

I just bought it.

I watched it in the theater, but my fiancee has not.

Mark is one of my most fav actors and hence my buying the movie.

this is certainly not one of the greatest movies, but it is also not one of the worst. Better than others that shamakah? (sp??) have made with the Unbreakable or Signs or The Village.

Mine should be arriving tomorrow from Amazon.

I'd say rent. I wasn't impressed with it, although IMO it wasn't as bad as Lady in the Water.

I'm so glad you didn't say love it also. I don't know anyone that loved this movie. I have discussed my anger towards it, and occasionally someone will defend it by stating that they liked it. They NEVER say loved.

A terrible, terrible film. Unless you absolutely have to see how bad this is for yourself, I wouldn't rent or buy this turd. It really is as bad as the reviews suggest.

It will be interesting to see what Shyamalamading-dong can come up with after this cinematic atrocity...if in fact he can come up with anything. Despite the sheer ineptitude of The Happening, the success of his first 3 films, in particular The Sixth Sense, will no doubt still get him some good grace in Hollywood....but if his next project is half as bad as this, one suspects it won't be long before he's looking for a new career.

I felt so bad for Markie Mark because he is a solid actor.

Rent if you have a passing interest. I thought it was horrendous, and no, it's not even remotely akin to the Final Destination movies in any way at all.

I felt worse for Zooey Deschanel, Whalberg has made crap before and he'll make crap again.

As for the movie, avoid like the plague.
