Yes ladies & gentlemen, it is time. Time for what you say, Time for the PlayStation 3 launch in europe of course.

On friday 23rd mrach 2007, the most powerful games console ever made is gonna finally grace the european territories and give us a taste of the great gaming our japanese and american gaming counterparts have enjoyed since November 06.

Not only when it allow some of to get a hands on with the great gaming, most of us will certainly now be able to experience blu-ray movies in an affordable way that doesn't need you running to the bank to get a loan to experience.

So, what i want to know is will you be picking up one on Friday and if so, what games, blu-ray movies and accesories will you be purchasing with your PlayStation 3 to get the most out of it.

Please keep to the topic and we'll have a great thread running for people to come and list what they plan on doing for the launch on friday.

I'm in the US, but I am REALLY excited for you guys. I look forward to how the machine is recieved over there, but even moreso, I look forward to the new firmware update we are all supposed to get this week, which is rumored to open up a few new features for us!

Yup I pick mine up friday.. with Resistance and F1.. I asked for MotorStorm but they screwed that up some how.

Will be getting the BR remote, but as for BR's I've got plenty prepared.. and friday will be a very intresting/fun day.

Accessories: Official PS2/1 Memory Card Adapter (imported US), Official Blu-ray remote, Official HDMI Cable, Sony Ericsson HBH-GV435 Bluetooth Headset

I've been waiting for this for a long, long time. I've demoted my Wii and 360 to the lower depths of my console/tv bench and the PS2 is standing proud, angled in the same way I intend to stand the PS3 in its place. All prepared.

Anywho. It's awesome that Europe finally can play the PS3. It was probably worth the wait too since you have a much wider game selection. Remember to try and not go alone in the line to be sure you get your console home

been and gone mate, why do you think we haven't seen any of the Aussie crowd on here recently. I mean this place a couple of days after the US lauch was like a ghost town

. I don't think you will be seeing much of me if we have spare units left after tonight's launch (not looking good I just got a text from a colleague Virgin has got about 50 people and we have about the same as well, we don't even have that many consoles, there isn't enough space in the stock-room

I've decided that I would like to celebrate the Euro launch of the Ps3 here with you guys. At this present second as I am typing this it is 21:43pm in London and there is only a couple of hours before the big event. If you respect the PS3 and all of the people that have put there time hardwork and effort in the console can celebrate here. NO I'm not a FANBOY but I think this is a big event and it deserves to be celebrated. Whos with me?

I'm real psyched bout getting my PS3 but i have to wait till like 9.30 am cause i pre-ordered it from curry's way back summer last year and apparently there not having a midnight launch so i gotta pick mine up on friday morning.

Lol, kinda hurts when you consider everyone thats gonna be clamouring in to be the first 500,000 people to register on the PSN to get casino royale after they pick their PS3s up midnight in 1 hours time, shame i don't get one at midnight but hey, i'm glad for all you fellow gamers picking one up in the UK and really hope your going to enjoy your purchase the way i will and congrats in advance if your one of the 500k to bag casino royale on blu ray.

LOL, if i'm lucky i might also get to be in the 500k if i get my PS3 early enough and most people don't register

I can't register because i don't have broadband meaning I can't use the PS3 network!!!!!!!! What a pain in the arse a?

LOL, quick response man and congrats on ur own order. I feel u should definitely try online play on the PS3 as soon as you can on a game like resistance cause i heard not only is the game good but the online mode with 40 people totally blows others out the water
