So true. If they don't release a box set up front, I'll definitely start with II, IV, VI, and VIII (providing they're all available up front, of course). I watch these 4 the most. And although I thought X (Nemesis) was lacking, that one has grown on me a lot so I'd probably grab that one up front as well.

I'd like all of them to be released in 2009. If I had to pick just 2 for 2009, I'd go with Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek Generations.

The first six, since it has the original cast, which is what the spin-off is focusing on.

And also, the ones I really want is THE MOTION PICTURE and THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY.

Default 24bit Audio & 4 K Video Remastering

They need to do a complete 4k remastering of the video. No restoration. The audio needs to be pcm with at least 24bit. No more 16 bit uncompressed audio tracks.

If they can make dark city and fifth element look like they came out yesterday, they should do justice to the trek films. I hope they won't butcher the trek films like the did to Interview with the Vampire or Batman begins or the Fugitive.

I'd like to have aliens on blu-ray too. But only if they jazz up the audio and video

<Big laugh.> I never understood why people hated his character so much. Always been a fan of Trek but oddly it was my non-Trek brother who bought the DVD movie set. Something would really have to motivate me to buy it besides "Tri-corder" box sets.

Well, I can understand why people got tired of him in the first season, but never why that hatred transfered over to Wil Wheaton who, by all accounts, is a cool guy.

Hmm Nemesis would be nice. I assume the question is what ST movie on Blu and not what new movie on the big screens.

I may wait to have these as a boxed set of all 10 films. I may never watch V again, but I like the completeness of it, and the uniformity.

The films in my order of preference

Star Trek First Contact
Star Trek IV
Star Treck Insurrection
Star Trek VI
Star Trek II
Star Trek Generations
Star Trek III
Star Trek
Star Trek Nemesis
Star Trek V
