Default Star Trek (2009)

Took the wife out on Mom's Day eve to movies last night to see ST 2009. It was sold out for the 19:15 showing. We bought tickets for the 21:15 before it sold out.

Now I see why the box office sold out. I usually won't say this about movie theaters but this time I can't help it, the PQ and SQ blew me away. The PQ was awesome and incredible as was the sound. I could hear the surrounds most of the time except when there was quite dialogue. The dialogue as well was clear and distinct.

Rotton Tomatoes rating is 96% which speaks for itself. They aren't kidding either. The movie itself putting PQ and SQ aside was that good.

Paramount is notably one of the best studios for releasing BDs having outstanding PQ and SQ. I expect no less when this film is released on Blu-ray someday.

Star Trek (2009) is definitely on my wish list.

NS, its definitely coming. To not put a movie like that on blu ray would be a crime.

Hopefully sooner than later. I'd like to see the BD released by the end of this year. Realistically, though, that'll probably happen in 2010.

It's a May release, so the earliest it'll get to BD will be in September. But DEFINITELY by end of this year.

I also loved this movie. It will be purchased without question. I might even buy it for retail at Best Buy if they have it.

I agree with the AQ...

I couldn't believe how good it sounded. IT BLEW ME AWAY when that big mining ship went into warp.

OMG I CAN'T WAIT for the BLU!
