Default 3rd Time charm maybe.

In the past 3 weeks, I bought two blu ray players- Phillips BDP7200 & Samsung BDP1500. I am returning both because they don't work with java application titles like Iron Man, Hulk or Transformers. I don't care about the BD live, but everytime I stop or shut off the machine, it starts the movie over I contacted both manufacturers and they told me they were working on the problems, but I can't wait.

Does anyone know of a blu ray player that has memory for all the new bd live titles coming out.

Default Samsung firmware

Have you tried updating the firmware on the samsung player? I have Transformers and Ironman on bluray, and both play on my BP-1000 after loading the latest firmware. I am still having problems getting the Hulk to load.

Do these title not play at all or do you not like the fact that BD-J titles start at the beginning once you stop or turn off the player? If it's the latter, all players do this for BD-J titles.

THERE IS NO BLU RAY PLAYER ON EARTH THAT WILL DO WHAT YOU WANT IT TO ... Now that I got your attention, Java titles WILL NOT resume where you left off when you hit stop or turn off the machine. That is a limitation of the software at the moment. No matter what player you get, even the amazing PS3 will NOT be able to resume where you left off on BD-J titles.

Default Stop, Shut off=start over.

I can play any BD Live disc I want. Its the stop, shut off& start over on the bd live titles that are my problem. I don't have the time or patience to sit thru a whole movie, so this is a major issue for me. I have all the firmware updates I need, thats not the problem. Someone in Target today told me that the Sony350 works with these new titles, I don't believe him, can anyone confirm that? Maybe the new Sony 550, I don't know. I will keep returning them until I find one that works. Tx for any info.

NO Blu-Ray player can do what you are asking. No player has resume capabilities on java enabled titles.

BAD FONT COLOUR CHOICE!!!

Also, try using the Java programming BOOKMARK feature. Every Java title has one. You can save the point in the film that you are stopping it at via this method. Either sh!t or get off the damn pot. Don't linger and complain about a cold toilet seat which is serving its purpose!!!

Well, if you can't sit through an entire 2 - 2 1/2 hour movie in one sitting you can either book mark with I believe the red button on the remote, check the see what scene you're on before stopping the disc or stop watching movies. I hate sound like a smart a$$ but those seem to be your only options.

As far as I know no player will do that. You have to use the bookmark feature on the BD-java disc. Its part of the U-control options. Its either the red or green button on the remote. This is the only way I know of to resume play on a BD-java disc.
