Default shrek 3rd best pq so far

with 62 titles in my collection, shrek 3rd so far is my vote for best pq and my first choice as reference film to showcase to non blu-ray peeps. watched last night and we kept stopping movie to awe at images, foreground and background. unbelievable depth of detail put into cgi by dreamworks!!! blows cars away and that is a bold declaration. opinions???

Im kind of waiting for that. If I see a good price on the third one I will get it. I'd prefer to watch all three of them in a row.

I haven't seen Shrek 3 on blu yet, but I don't think pq is as good as Appleseed Ex Machina. Look at this post for hi res pics http://ritpak.com/post/Appleseed-Ex-...reenshots.aspx

I still dont understand the point of screenshots. What does a picture of a movie have to show. Doesnt the different computer screens have an effect on the screenshots?

*MOST* computer screens are "up there" in picture quality.

So, when someone has a good computer screen shot...

The PQ may be incredible but Shrek the Turd will only enter my collection through a boxset with it's far superior predeccesors.

Shrek 3 does look amazing but I don't think it blows away Cars. In fact, Cars still gets my pick as best looking title. But, in my opinion, a few of the animated flicks are basically flawless so it's like trying to judge degrees of perfection. So, I end up going with the style of graphics or whatever and I still really like Cars. There are lots of amazing scenes in Shrek 3 though and I'd definitely rate it 5/5 for PQ. As far as audio, I thought Shrek 3 was really good but I'd pick Cars over it in that department as well (great sound, imo and very aggressive).

"NO WAY" cars is much MUCH better then shrek 3 for PQ with my samsung 46" LN46A650 120Hz 50,000:1 contrast car popped right out at me it looks almost 3-D. but shrek 3 looked dull and not as colorful to me. I use cars and ratatouille to show off Blu-ray's. I will be using wall-E when I get it

Or even The Simpsons. These are 2 tough films to top as far as PQ.
