Default Home Alone

Does anyone know if the HA Blu will have any sort of restoration or encode-specific for Blu?

I have the original HA Dvd from way back that looks like absolute crap. I haven't seen the "Family Fun Edition" that came out several years ago, so have no clue whether that version looks any better.

Thoughts? Rumors?

Did anyone notice the aspect ratio change on the pre Family Fun Edition dvd?

It occurs during the scene when Pesci impersonating a cop, visits the house the night before they leave for France.

The aspect ratio changes from 1.85 to 2.35 for a couple of seconds.

It was fixed on the Family Fun Edition.

DanFan -

Is there a noticeable different in video quality between the original DVD and Family Fun version?

Aren't both still 2.0 sound?

I believe that the "Family Fun" version had 5.1. Not sure about the original DVD release.

The video is a little better (also anamorphic this time) and the audio was given a 5.1 upgrade.

DanFan, are you from Pittsburgh?

It's nice to see someone representing a Penguins avatar.

As far as Home Alone, I am really considering picking this up. I loved this when I was younger.

Can't wait to pick this up. This is one of my Christmas staples. I can't believe it's almost 20 years old!
