I saw Journey to the Center of the Earth 3 D in the theatre. Haven't seen the Blu version yet, but the one in the theatre was pretty cool. I'm guessing both that and the Polar Express will both look amazing.

The question I have is has anyone rented it from Netflix? If so, I don't suppose they supply the glasses? I'd like to see it in 3D before deciding whether or not to buy it, but don't know where to get the glasses. I already have the previous Blu-Ray version, and would like to find out if it's worth buying twice--just to get 3D and lossless audio.

Google 3d glasses is what I did and I found a website that had some specifically for this movie, about $10 includes shipping. I purchased the movie and the cardboard glasses are not comfortable and they have very small lenses. I own the hd dvd version but wanted to experience 3d, so far I like it but I just need better glasses to enjoy. |

I rented it from Netflix & they are only renting the 2D version. The 3D & 2D version isn't on the same disc. There is a post over at hidefdigest that Blockbuster is doing the same by only renting the 2D version. Disappointing. ![]() |

I have last night. I must say i was disappointed. When someone came close to the screen there was like a double image and when there were no so close it was at best okay. there were some scenes that had some sort of depth perception but nothing like the real 3d that i saw in the theatre for polar, beowulf and journey. I suggest that no movie be put into 3d until they get the tech right and get rid of those red green glasses that kinda gave me a headache. I much perfer looking at the 2d version with the beautiful colours and the right coulours. with the red green you don"t get accuracy. But i must say I loved the true HD Track.

Yup, watched it last night with my girlfriend. It was our first time seeing the movie and we loved it. The Dolby TrueHD track was really nice. We watched it in 3D, and the movie felt like it was an Audio/Video adventure. It felt more like a ride then a movie.
As of how the 3D was, it was pretty nice. Many of the scenes in 3D were very cool, such as the snow scene and the scenes with lots of elves. Of course sometimes the image can seem distorted, and the colors a little weird. However, I did enjoy the 3D and I recommend watching it. |
