I know it's played out to say, but I'm all over John Williams' Star Wars scores - for all the movies. Nothing quite like listening to "Duel of the Fates" before a big design presentation or "Battle of the Heroes" when you're trying to outmaneuver someone on the highway.

Me too, I am also a big Hans Zimmer fan. The Gladiator score was amazing. Now We Are Free resonates...

I don't know if you have XM radio, but there is a great station called Cinemagic (Channel 27). It plays film scores from all kinds of films and sometimes they have the director or person who scored the film on. I've heard people from the dude who did Happy Feet to the guy who directed The Bank Job to Spike Lee's new war film. This is only sometimes, but they interview the director and then it cuts to a scene in the movie that flows into the music. Usually though it's just a scene that flows into the score. A really cool station. So you could get some ideas from it.

I probably like John Williams score the best for Star Wars. But, I also liked a lot of Jerry Goldsmith's scores particularly for Star Trek the Motion Picture.

Cinemagic is a great channel on XM. During Halloween, they play all the horror movie scores. But, around the end of the year, they do their top 100 movie countdown. Great stuff!

+1 John Williams score for the Star Wars saga is the best score ever written for a movie series. Without Williams Star Wars wouldn't have acheived the greatness it acheived.

I used to listen to Graham Revell's score for The Crow almost every day. Of course John Williams. I also like Randy Edelman's score for Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story. A lot of trailers use some of the stuff off of that score.

How could no one even mention the theme song Queen did for Flash Gordon? Or what about the theme to the Never Ending Story, done by Lamal from Kajagoogoo? My favorite soundtracks are mostly John Williams, and Danny Elfman. I loved Williams' scores for ET, and Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. Danny Elfman has created some great scores as well, mostly Tim Burton films. I like his work on Beetlejuice and Sleepy Hollow.

Yes, Barry is a great one. He did most of the early Bond movies, as well as High Road to China and Raise the Titanic. My favorite of his his though is Dances with Wolves.
