Default John Hughes Films

John Hughes wrote more of my favorite movies as a kid than anybody, and I know a few of them have come out on Blu, or will be very soon, but which ones from his catalog of movies do you most want to see released on blu-ray for your collection? My selections are in bold.

# Reach the Rock (1998)
# Home Alone 3 (1997)
# Flubber (1997)
# 101 Dalmatians (1996)
# Miracle on 34th Street (1994)
# Baby's Day Out (1994)
# Beethoven's 2nd (1993)
# Dennis the Menace (1993)
# Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)
# Beethoven (1992)
# Curly Sue (1991)

If you're IMDB cut-and-pasting enough to include "Edmund Dante" and Disney-revival films up there, shouldn't you include "Maid in Manhattan" and "Drillbit Taylor" up there as well?

(And the same IMDB check will confirm suspicions that, yes....Hughes was pushing forty when he wrote "Breakfast Club". Wouldn't know it, wouldja?)

Lol, no there was no need to include Edmund Dante up there or those films you listed. And as far as his age you could easily tell how old he was cause he played Brian's father, who picks him up at the end of the film. And it's a real shame that Hughes never released the original copy of the breakfast club since he has the only copy of the entire full length version at 2 and a half hours.

Who doesn't? Even if some won't admit it, you know his teen movies where the pinnacle of most teens movie collections for over 2 decades.

The most touching comedy I've ever watched.

Mine would be "Weird Science" hands down! Awesome movie and the fact that it came out on my Birthday! Great soundtrack that would be incredible if they could put it on CD along with the Blu Ray release!

I am just very disappointed at how Universal treated their edition of Uncle Buck on blu ray. It is one of Hughes and Candy's best and Universal gave us another sub par release of this comedy classic.
