Default Blu-ray playback problem....very bright (highlighted)

I have been using PowerDVD 8 to play my blu-rays and i have noticed that the movies are looking very bright or highlighted...it happens with every movie so I am wondering if it is the software or if it is my display settings? I dont think it is my settings cause i played with them and tried to fix it but no go. The most i can describe is anything white seems to be almost glowing, such as a piece of paper or a white shirt....anyone know what might be going on?

Have you calibrated your screen?

If not pop in your Indiana jones BD and go throught the Thx optimizer. If that dont work call customer support or something.

i got it fixed....I went into the nvidia control panel and in there is a option for video playback and that had been messed up and the "use nvidia control panel settings" thing was checked so i unchecked it and everything was fine. Thanks for the hints about callibration and setting it up...made me look into it more and see the oversight.
