PS3 Dolby TrueHD before HD audio upgrade? - Blu-ray Forum

So here's the thing. I was dusting the entertainment center off the other day and had the PS3 out to wipe it down and noticed that on the side where it has all the logos it had the Dolby TrueHD logo on it.
So my question: Did the console come from the factory with the ability to decode TrueHD?

It has a production sticker of July 2007.
As a matter of fact I got it last Thanksgiving.
Holy crap my one year warranty is expired!!!!!

Yes it did come with the ability to decode TrueHD but not DTS HD-MA. The latter was later added with a firmware update.
