Default Who is your hero in film?

Who do you view as the most important person(s) in the history of film to you?

Charlie Chaplin, to me I feel he is the heart and soul of film making he did so much and was a GENIUS

Bruce Lee, I strive to get my body to look like his, he was such an amazing person and all of his movies are classic...I wonder how Kung Fu films would be today if he were still around.

Daniel Day Lewis, in my honest opinion he is the greatest actor alive right now and one of the greatest of all time. He takes acting to the level that many do not and he blows it away each time, in his films he makes the movie what it is.

Al Pacino, my favorite actor...though he has been in some crap lately. But most of his old stuff is amazing and he just shines on the screen.

Martin Scorsese, favorite director about everything he has done is gold and he continues to release classics...one of the best!

modern day i would have to say tom hanks! the guy is amazing and can play in just about any role imaginable! Unlike some actors who can only portray a certain character, hanks can play any character and be stunning while doing it!

I'm going to say P.T. Anderson.

He is the most daring director in Hollywood right now. (IMHO)

Not every one of Nolan's movies are huge blockbusters but i can safely say he has never made a bad movie.

Some people may think that he has hit his peak with The Dark Knight (although I would argue Batman Begins is much better) but this guy is just starting out with movies.

he's barely been around for 10 years and hes only been a big name for about 3.

Were gonna see a lot more and a lot better from this man over the next 20 or so years.

Mr. Nolan, I can't wait to see what you do next.

True, as far as creator and producers go he would have to be the best.

My favorite director is Stanley Kubrick because of the unusual approach he takes in creating his films, even though most of them are based on the literary works of others.

I would also have to say Peter Jackson, because I don't think The Lord of the Rings movies would have been the same with someone else behind the camera.

I'm torn between Speilberg & Terry Gilliam... Nolan's work is very impressive but I don't think he's done enough yet for me to vote for him.
