The Punisher... Action Hero or Super Hero? - Blu-ray Forum

A friend and I got into a discussion about this earlier this week when we were talking about the best/worst super hero films out there.... so do you guys think this should be in someones super hero blu ray collection?

Not mine. I didnt care much for the first one...... and this new one looks like crap........ although I hope ALL the scenes in the commercial were just there to confuse us and the movie is completely different and devoid of any one of those scenes......and the stupid looking collar thing, they can get rid of that too.

I have been a long time Punisher fan and think he is more of an anti-hero. A vigilante using any means necessary to fight crime. He is not a good guy, but belongs on the side of the "heroes".
As for the movie, I did not like it as a Punisher film, because the storyline has been changed too much. However I thought it was a pretty cool action flick and I will pick it up on Blu-ray once they re-release it as the extended cut.
Then it will end up in my Superhero movie shelf.

Yeah, definitely an anti-hero, but also definitely belongs on the 'cuperhero' or 'comic movie' shelf with the rest.
