I think Last Action Hero will be one of those movies that will take a long time to come out. Not a big demand for it. It was good

Yeah you might be waiting a long time. Even the DVD was in fullscreen. They never bothered releasing it widescreen to my knowledge.

My French DVD copy (a 2006 print) boasts a 2.35:1 Aspect Ratio.

I would love to see this movie on Blu, it's just begging for it.

Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers. I would love to see this as well in the Blu-Ray format. Maybe the Govenator could pull his weight and get this released sooner than last.

I want this movie too. I never understood why it got poor reviews. The movie was essentially a spoof of action movies, yet everyone seemed to try and take it seriously and thought it failed as a serious action movie.........well duh!

I just think it's a shame that John McTiernan fell off the map after this and Die Hard WaV. He's the best action movie director in the last 30 years. He actually cared about story and acting and not just blowing up stuff(he did that well too).

It has been a long time since I have seen this movie. But I do remember enjoying the first half. but the second half when Arnie broke into the real world seemed kind of a downer. Maybe I need to give it another go. If it ever comes out.

When this comes out, it'll probably be one of those movies that are 13.99.

I hope you're right. As long as it has great pq/aq i'd pick it up in a heartbeat... especially if it was at costco for 13.99...

It was scheduled for UK release in June but has vanished from the retailer's website. Its a very enjoyable film but would have been a lot better without one of the most annoying, smug turns from a child actor that I've ever seen. Still Charles Dance is great fun. Any blu must include the AC/DC music video as seen on the R2 DVD, the sight of Arnold in an Angus Young school uniform has to be seen to be believed

I recently rewatched my DVD and stumbled upon this bonus feature I hadn't watched before. It's simply hilarious. I mean, come on:

I also want this in Blu. It seems to fit the current spate of semi-forgotten and (arguably) crappier catalog titles some studios are putting out. Just look at recently released stuff: An American Werewolf in London, Silverado, Catwoman, Sphere, Dead Calm, etc. (I actually kind of like Sphere and Dead Calm, though)

Why those but not Last Action Here? I can see it coming soon. I await the next wave of catalog announcements

Hell yes! I'd love to see Last Action Hero on BLU. Nowadays, the widescreen version of the DVD seems to be a slight rarity, and I'm stuck with the full screen DVD, which even than has pretty average PQ, no special features, and the cheapest menu I've ever seen on any DVD... I hope Columbia releases it on BLU soon...

Default Coming Soon

I'm pleased to inform everyone wondering about this title that it is coming soon. According to Blu-ray.com itself, the movie is set to be released on Blu on January 12, 2010; just under 2 months. Hope this news makes everyone as happy as me.
