I'd prefer to see a leg completly cut off the body and a pool of blood than to see a bone being broke like that

It looks like his leg deflated...

that said, I don't watch MMA, must be one of the few around here that doesn't. I've seen a few matches, just don't really care for it.

It is epic when a shin bone breaks like that. I saw it once in person at a softball game. The defensive player was crowding 2nd base and when the runner went to slide in..... their shins met and you could hear the sickening POP all the way out in the bleachers. The 2nd baseman was supposed to leave for a cruise the next day.... but instead was taken to the hospital via ambulance. I bet she learned a valuable lesson about crowding the base though.
