Default What movie would you recommend to people without a Blu Ray to convert them.

OK, this may have been done before, but just curious as to what movie everyone would recommend to someone withhout a Blu player to sell them on the incredible PQ, SQ, etc.

My choices would start off with Transformers, and Speed Racer right off the bat. But there are a lot of choices out there.

Planet Earth
I, Robot
Casino Royale
Transformers
Iron Man
The Incredible Hulk
The Dark Knight
Chronicles of Narnia 1 or 2
Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy
Speed Racer (for PQ but it doesn't have lossless audio, still sounds pretty good though)

If you want them to see how good older movies can look, Blade Runner, 2001, or Patton would be good.

Most of the animated flicks look/sound great: Cars, Wall-E, Ratatouille, etc.

My dad KEEPS using Casino Royale on and on and on...
Okay it has the very nice chase scene in the beginning but after seeing it 20 times... you kind of get sick of it. Very good demo material though.

I think I'll try to go with Transformers or I Am Legend.

+1 I don't own the Chronicles of Narnia 1 or 2 so i say how good they are. Speed Racer looks amazing! The Audio is not lossless, but it is still pretty good. I would also add to this list Rescue Dawn. It looks great, although repeat value is not high. The Hellboy movies also look really good.

Oddly enough the Hannah Montana concert was one I inadvertently ended up demo'ing and the 3d aspect of it and how crisp it was blew the person away.

So many demo worthy movies to choose from.

I'd go with...

Live Free or Die Hard
Shoot Em Up
Ice Age
A Few Good Men (not bad for a film 16 years old)
The Dark Knight (of course)
Rambo (especially for the audio)
Transformers
and any 3 of The Matrix films
