Default Definitive Technology bi-polar speakers, Good Buy or not?

I was at best buy lookin at tv's and i asked the magnolia guy to show me some audio stuff and he showed me this definitive technology 3 way floorstanding speakers with built in sub. Model number BP7006BLA. I have a onkyo reciever and i need a new one but i thought maybe these speakers would be a good step to upgrading my audio system? Any info? Thanks

I may be biased, but they are GREAT speakers! You will not be disappointed at all. Any questions??

Yes! I am also biased, but these are some phenomenal speakers and a tremendous value. You won't be disappointed... what receiver would you likely pair with them?

I just upgraded to a def tech non-bipolar setup to a deftech bipolar setup and it is great for home theater. It's like when you close your eyes you can't tell where the speakers are in the room.

I agree. The sound is open, warm and full, from every listening spot in your room. The best advice though is to listen yourself and compare; I'm confident you'll join the ranks of happy Definitive Technology buyers.

I should say that I'm somewhat neutral (I have Def Tech's in my rear channels but Klipsch in my front and I have many other speakers that I admire for different reasons). With that said - You should go an listen to these speakers with material that you are familiar with. If they are pleasing to your ears - go for it. Def Tech is a great company that puts out quality products, but don't take it from me - (there are a lot of great companies putting out quality products - I'm going to demo some Quads at a new High End store in my little neighborhood ) see for yourself and then decide!
