Cannot update my s300 Firmware

Hello from a newbie on the site.

I have read that the Dark Knight may not play on my s300 without the firmware upgrade.


I have the s300 and a Sony Bravia V series TV.

I have followed the instructions very carefully, and downloaded the file, unpacked it to an ISO and burned the image


There are 4 files on the disk (Branded, S0001, S0002, S0003)

All seems to have gone well

I put the disk in, and get the "Disc-DWLD" message, and the a few seconds later, I get:

"NO DWLD 09"


I have searched googled, and can not find the meaning of this error.

My unit has firmware 3.70 currently

Also, I am in Canada if that makes a difference

Thanks in advance for any help...I am going to load the Dark Knight, and see if it played anyway....

Sony states to use a CD-R when performing updates. If you're not using one try that otherwise try burning a new disc. If this fails, try a different brand of media.

Have burned twice with 2 different cd-r

On the bright side....Dark Knight played, and looks awesome
