I'm sure someone will say "...you wouldn't notice a better picture", and then I say, "...yes, I know that", and then I say I really don't give a crap. I'll love every Lynch movie on Blu, kinda like a Kubrick collection perhaps.

****in' Eh!
This would single handily be the greatest bluray ever released!! The only other film I want more than this is Apocalypse Now, Pulp Fiction, and a full balls to the wall; no holes barred 6hour directors cut of The Thin Red Line!!

Hey I'm sorry I messed up. I meant the 6 hour Directors Cut that Terrance has talked about on occasion. So now you have even more reason to live!!!

The Elephant Man, my favorite movie of his, is scheduled to be released sometime in 2009.

The pilot and series were only shot in SD, so there is not a chance for them to be released in HD. Fire Walk With Me could be released!

They were? I could've sworn I read that the DVDs were sourced from a HD master.

Can't they just go back to the original prints and rescan them for HD viewing? I'm not talking about upscaling, but I'm no expert on the whole transfer process. Not being able to present the series in HD without upscaling just doesn't seem right.

They were, when they released the Gold Box, they had new masters made.

So they were shot on film and have been remastered in HD, so I see no reason for this series not to be released. I've been a huge David Lynch fan, but have never seen Twin Peaks, and I want to wait now for the inevitable Blu-ray release. Hopefully it'll come eventually.

I have Mulholland Dr. on HD DVD, and the quality isn't great. I think it might have to do with source limitations, since the movie started out as a TV pilot.

Lost Highway would be great to have on Blu, but I'm not holding my breath since it took forever just to get it on DVD in the U.S.

When I think of his films I think of the creepy imagery but also the totally eerie sounds - they could sure benefit from some imaginative, well-made lossless soundtracks.

All of his film would benefit from HD with the exception of Inland Empire which was shot on cruddy low res digital.

I am a big Lynch fan, but I never made it thru Inland Empire. I kept falling asleep, and the picture quality is so poor it hurt my eyes.

try Inland again sometime...took me awhile too, but the payoff is great. Then, if your like me, the interpretations no the web are crazy, and you'll be amazed with what people interpret from that movie.

Amen! The first time I saw Mulholland Dr. I hated it. I was like what the f*** did I just watch. I had to watch it seven times before I fully got it, I think. That brings me to another movie I want to see sooner rather than later David Fincher's Se7en.

Getting back to David "mess with your head" Lynch I would also like Lost Highway.

I really liked INLAND EMPIRE and I think it will look good on blu (despite the way it was filmed).

Mulholland Dr. however would be amazing

Mulholland Dr on blu would be amazing. Very saturated color in that film.

I also love his film, The Straight Story. It would would look great on blu, lot's of great landscape shots.
