If I don't buy it today, will I still be able to play the new levels with a team leader who DID buy it? If so, will I be useless there without the paintball gun?

I'll probably get it sometime soon, but not today. I was just wondering if I'd be able to experience the levels via another team leader before buying? I've never played any MGS games before, so I wanna make sure I like it first.

EDIT: Question answered! It CAN be played with full (temporary) use of paintball gun, but NOT stickers! The other main difference is the inability to earn trophies.

from previous understandings of other games, i dont believe you will be able to play.

They have stated that you WILL BE ABLE TO PLAY THE NEW USER LEVELS! You just won't be able to use the tools in creating your own levels.

I've only played 2 levels so far, and THEY KICK ROYAL BUTT!!!

I was just playing with a friend who didnt buy it... as long as the game leader bought it a friend can join and play those levels with full access as well... You can also get the trophies (some) with out buying it....

So I finished the level pack. That last boss was Epic!!! haha. All in , I think the paintball gun is worth the price tag alone so getting these MGS levels on top of it just bonus. Great creativity once again by Media Molecule.

Now to get the rest of the trophies

I wouldn't say Act 1 kicked butt. I was all ready to get out of the truck and start playing...but then you realize the board ends before you can.

Ya , but some people have achieved a score and I'm not sure how the hell they did that. lol

You use the bullet hole sticker, and "shoot" the various cardboard cutouts, as you roll by. You get the sticker somewhere in Act 5...I think its one of the rewards for completing the level.

Thanks for that. I actually went thru Act 1 and noticed the sticker "icon" so I figured i'd get it later. Thanks though

Yeah you can play and take full advantage of the goodies too. I played tonight all the levels with one of my PSN "friends" and he was thrilled because he wont be getting it until the 25th

Downloaded the costume & level pack last night and I can already say that I have already gotten my $12 out of both of them. This is a must download for anyone who is a Metal Gear fan.
